Tom Moody is interested in how ordinary web graphics can be misread by computers to humorous or aesthetic effect. In this work a joke GIF animation of a yellow, rotating smiley face is enlarged and rendered in black and white. A 'keyframe' is removed from the GIF file, causing the rotation to become erratic and the round smile asymmetrical. 'Have a quirky day," the piece seems to say in a cryptic, semi-abstract language.
