Fresh Zone Contest: Popek-Banach Agnieszka and Banach Kamil




Graduated of the Graphic Arts Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. Graduated with honours from the studio of professor Stefan Ficner. They work in graphic design, printmaking, painting and installations. The two run a graphic studio together. In 2010 they received a Young Poland scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. They have been featured in group and individual show in Poland and abroad. They are recipients of many awards and distinctions. The two live and work in Poznań.
Home Sweet Home

The door mat, which is a symbol of the home and safety in this project was placed in the locations where homeless people are encountered on a daily basis. These are people, the sight of whom we are accustomed to, being a part of the urban landscape. These door mats may have drawn the attention of passers-by to the scale of the problem of homelessness.
