Horn Concert

The Horn Concert by Christof Schläger – the outstanding German acoustic artist – was an original composition performed on a mega-instrument constructed from 48 horns mounted on two armatures, each of which was four meters high. He made use of the reflection and dispersal of the sound waves produced by the instruments/sound installations set up on the Market Square in Krakow at the entrances to Grodzka and Floriańska Streets. The performance of the composition, which was specially composed for the event, had been the final event of this year’s Audio Art Festival, organised every year by the Muzyka Centrum Art Association since 1993.

Horn Concert was supported by the Goethe Institute in Krakow, the Foundation of Polish-German Cooperation and the City of Herne
