WUR: The Views of Power. The Power of Views
Film Screening
Power, both as a political and an aesthetic notion, is a collection of fetishes. One of them is a privileged point of view. It is a position enabling omniscience as regards a territory, filling the ruler with pride and confirming their status. What they really see is unknown. It is a view reserved for very few. We createed its images mainly by drawing on popular culture.
WUR: Views on power. Krakow
The Views on power. Krakow project used photography as a vehicle allowing, for just a little while, to see the world with the eyes of those few with real power in the city. It was a series of photographic views from windows of offices of the most important/influential people in Krakow. The point of view, treated as an indicator of a social status, is, at the same time, a direct source of knowledge on the real external world during work. So what do the most influential people in Krakow see?
