Małgorzata Gołębiewska – Patron of Krakow Culture
Małgorzata Gołębiewska, Artistic Director of the ArtBoom Festival, has been presented by the Mayor of Krakow Jacek Majchrowski the Patron of Krakow Culture 2010 award. "I'm enormously pleased to be receiving the award in the Sponsor category for the most interesting form and effectiveness of the patronage," said the winner.
The award recognises Małgorzata Gołębiewska's contribution to the Video Now Dokument project - two video guides related to the art of Mirosław Bałka - Nie szukam nowych słów, and Paweł Althamer - Urok rzeczywistości. Another reason behind granting the award is the fact that the works of the young artist had recently been given to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow and National Museum.
As the winner admits: "Most of my activities are undoubtedly driven by a passion that made me deal with today's art, and this needs constant outlays not only from institutions but also private persons. Let's remember that we're working for the generations to come."
