Cecylia Malik and Christopher B. Gray’s happening will begin today at 3:00 p.m. at the Fort św. Benedykta (St. Benedict Fort) – they will climb the 200th tree together and will plant another one right next to it. The artists, wearing red, will climb a tree in the vicinity of the St. Benedict church. The action is intendedto turn everybody’s attention to public spaces and serves as a pretext for discussion on the subject. On the 1st of April, the Krakow Festival Office’s profile on Facebook launched a competition connected with the Cecylia Malik: 365 drzew (Cecylia Malik: 365 trees) album. If you have a favourite tree, take a photograph of it, tell us where it grows and why you chose it. The authors of the seven most interesting photographs and texts will be rewarded with Cecylia’s albums, each one with a special dedication – a tree painted by Cecylia herself!
