Concert in Mr Tramp’s Garden

A painting exhibition by Cecylia Malik titled Concert in Mr Tramp’s Garden opens on the coming Friday (21st January) in Krakow Zderzak Gallery (Florianska Street no 3). The exhibition will be available to see until 16th February and is recommended by the current Przekroj weekly issue. As a reminder, we presented the spectacular finale of Cecylia’s action 365 trees last September as a part of ArtBoom Tauron Festival.
The Przekroj weekly exhibition announcement reads: “Do you remember unusual tree action? Having climbed 365 trees and photographed herself against their background Cecylia Malik, this time on the ground, carries out an unusual garden action. The painting exhibition Concert in Mr Tramp’s Garden is a summary of a project dedicated to the artist’s homeless neighbour, Mr Jan, who used to collect scrap. After his death, Cecylia’s sister, Teresa, by the hut he lived in gave a concert on rusted pieces of metal, saws, cast-iron rings and bottles of Wisnia Extra, (the last being a cheap alcoholic drink). The two girls could easily share their creative powers with half of the globe, which is exactly why we like them”.

A picture album summing up the 365 trees project will soon be available. More details at the beginning of February.
